The Cóser photography studio is a reformed old industrial warehouse, transformed into a modern space. The white cube, fundamental to the building’s program, is broken by the yellow volume, a low box with zenithal ventilation that houses the laboratory, bathrooms, cupboard, store-room, dressing room and a staircase.

The vertical circulation up to the second floor passes through a type of mezzanine: the roof of the yellow volume where the dining hall-lounge is. The floor of this area is covered with white pebbles and can be accessed using a different staircase, outside the box. On the second floor there is an office and a conference room.

The façade of the building is white and consists of only one element: a great orange door. Entering the studio, in front of the yellow box, is the reception. On the other side of the volume, connected by two lateral corridors, the dressing room opens entirely to a large span, used for photography shoots.

Out in back, there is a minimalist garden bringing natural light into the area and a large swinging door so that the area remains continuous, uniting the interior with the exterior.

When the shoot demands non-interference of the sun, the garden door closes and the space is then completely darkened.

The winding staircase even gives access to the building’s rooftop; where there is a belvedere with a view looking out on the great metropolis of São Paulo.
